TERMINAL FOR AN ELECTRODE OF A LEAD-ACID ACCUMULATOR

The proposed terminal for an electrode of a lead-acid accumulator contains a frame with a wire grid and a clamp. The clamp is fastened to the upper part of the frame. The grid contains horizontal and radial wire elements. The area of the cross-section of the radial wire element increases in the direction to the clamp. At the points of the connection of the horizontal wire elements with the radial wire elements, the horizontal wire elements have increased thickness within an area 4 à 6 mm in length tapered at an angle 8 à 12 degrees. The width of the upper part of the frame near the clamp is 1.5 à 1.6 times more than the width of the lower part. The clamp is arranged at a distance of 18 à 24 mm from the corner of the frame. The width of the lower part of the frame widens by 3.5 à 4.5 mm within an area 33 à 40 mm in length.
