PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash window capable of enhancing convenience when used as a dust outlet, and excellent in appearance designability and water sealing performance. SOLUTION: This sash window is equipped with a supporting frame which is fixed to an opening 5 of an exterior wall of a building, and a main window frame which is mounted on the supporting frame. A placing surface part 225 is formed in the lower supporting frame 22 of the supporting frame. A horizontal sealing material 25 is sandwiched between the window frame 32 and the surface part 225 only by placing a lower main window frame 32 of the main window frame on the surface part 225 via the sealing material 25. Thus, face dimensions of the window frames 22 and 32 are decreased, so that a top-surface position of the window frame 32 with respect to a lower edge of the opening 5 can be lowered. This can enhance the convenience of entrance/exist by decreasing a straddle dimension and a difference between the heights of indoor and outdoor floor surfaces in the case of the dust outlet. Additionally, since the sealing material 25 is not exposed in an outdoor space, a deterioration in the sealing material 25 can be prevented, and the appearance designability can be improved.
