<p>A blister package (10) housing a contact lens (113) is described. The package (10) generally includes a base member (12) including a cavity (18) having a bottom surface (38), for containing a contact lens (10) immersed in a liquid medium. The base member can include a grip region (22) including a curved top surface (22a) shaped to accommodate a thumb and a curved bottom surface (22b) shaped to accommodate an inner curve of a forefinger. Silicone hydrogel contact lenses (10) located in the liquid medium have a reduced tendency to stick to the bottom surface (38) of the cavity (18) without requiring a surfactant and/or a surface modification of the bottom surface (38).</p> |
