A soil digging apparatus is provided to facilitate a soil digging work and especially to reduce the working time and enhance the work efficiency. A soil digging apparatus comprises a cylinder(16), a movable frame(40), a pair of buckets(30), and a link(50). The cylinder has a piston rod(18) fixed to a lower side of a supporter(10). The movable frame ascends and descends according to operation of the piston rod. The pair of buckets are pivotally connected to a hinge bracket(26) connected to a lower side of the cylinder. The link is hinged upon the movable frame by one end and to the outside of the bucket by the other end. An upper end of the cylinder is fixed to an auxiliary supporter extended at a lower side of the supporter. A pair of inward slide plates(22) are erected at the outside of the cylinder. An outward slide plate(20) is connected to a leading end of the piston rod. The link is connected to a lower side of the outward slide plate to pivot the bucket.
