A plasma display panel is provided to secure larger discharging space defined by a barrier rib formed on a rear substrate by arranging an address electrode on a front substrate. A first substrate(10) and a second substrate(20) have discharging cells. The discharging cells are divided in a space between the opposite first and second substrates. Address electrodes(32) are formed on the first substrate to be extended to a first direction. Display electrodes(25) are separated from the address electrodes. The display electrodes are formed to be extended to a second direction crossing the first direction. The display electrodes are alternatively arranged along the first direction. The indicating electrodes are comprised of sustain electrodes(21) and scan electrodes(23) that are oppositely formed to be extended toward the second substrate from the first substrate. A fluorescent substance layer(19) is formed in each discharging cell.
