#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a braking device (7) comprising guiding elements (14, 15) engaged in guiding slots (12, 13) of longitudinal guides (9, 10). A longitudinal coupling device (19) is placed between the device (7) and a heel piece (6) for a mobile connection with the heel piece. The device (7) is guided without clearance by the slots in spatial directions extending perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the slots. The device (19) has coupling elements (20 - 25) made up of plastic materials and cooperating with each other and guided in covering position in the slots. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for coupling a sports shoe and a sports equipment e.g. ski and snowboard (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The coupling elements cooperate with each other and extend perpendicular to the slots, thus permitting to pre-adjust spacing between the braking device and a rear toe piece of the coupling device for adapting to sizes of extremely different sport shoes, while avoiding any fixation between the heel piece and the braking device. A braking arm of the braking device can therefore be pivoted with a less force. The coupling elements ensure the coupling between the heel piece and the braking device, by using the longitudinal coupling device, without any problem. The coupling elements of the longitudinal coupling device transmit traction and compression forces acting in the direction of longitudinal axis of the braking device, while permitting to transmit torsional forces. The design of the guiding elements permits to ensure a reliable maintenance of the braking device in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal axis, even in case of violent shocks and torsional constraints.
