<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit that can suppress display unevenness by preventing a reflective sheet from deforming by an FPC folded back to the back side of a back light unit, and also to provide a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: In a structure such that the FPC 9 connected to a liquid crystal panel 8 is folded back and arranged on the back side of the reflective sheet 11 of the edge light type backlight unit, a reflective sheet deformation preventive sheet 17 for preventing the reflecting sheet 11 from deforming is arranged between the reflective sheet 11 and FPC 9, which is fixed to the reflective sheet deformation preventive sheet by using a sheet 12 for EMI countermeasures. Consequently, deformation of the FPC 9 is absorbed by the reflective sheet deformation preventive sheet 17 to prevent the reflective sheet 11 from deforming, so light projected from a light guide plate 3 to the back side can uniformly be reflected by the reflective sheet 11 and then unevenness of luminance of the backlight is eliminated to suppress display unevenness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
