PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a learner to make a selection between voice data and character data of a language to be learnt. SOLUTION: When the learner selects voice data or character data and the language, the selected voice data are output in voice from an output selecting means 4. The output voice data are converted into character data. The character data output from the output selecting means 4 are output from a character output means 8. A coincidence with or discrepancy from character data input by the learner through an input means 3 in response to the voice data is decided or a coincidence with or discrepancy from character data input by the learner through the input means 3 in response to the character data is decided to be displayed by a result output means 9.
