PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aluminum alloy sheet having a 6000 series fundamental composition, and whose BH properties, bendability and roughening preventability are increased. SOLUTION: In the method for producing an aluminum alloy sheet having excellent BH properties, bendability and roughening properties, an alloy molten metal having a composition comprising, as essential elements, by mass%, 0.40 to 0.70% Mg, 0.50 to 1.00% Si, 0.05 to 0.30% Mn, 0.10 to 0.50% Fe, 0.005 to 0.10% Ti and 0.0005 to 0.01% B, and further comprising, as optional elements, one or two kinds selected from≤0.05% Zr and≤0.05% Cr, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is continuously cast into a thin slab with a thickness of 5 to 15 mm by a twin belt type casting machine, is directly coiled around a coil, is thereafter subjected to primary cold rolling, intermediate solution treatment, secondary cold rolling, final solution treatment and preliminary aging in succession, and, at this time, the secondary cold rolling is performed at a final cold rolling ratio of 15 to 30%.
