PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic system more inexpensive and simpler than that provided by the prior art capable of being easily manufactured and operated for supplying a plastic film to a packaging machine to package various types of articles. SOLUTION: This automatic system comprises a means for supplying a plastic film (4), at least one traction belt (5) contacted with the plastic film (4) to tract it into a packaging range of a packaging machine (12), a means for holding and feeding the plastic film (4), and a commanding and controlling means for use in unwinding the plastic film (4) from the supplying means. The holding and feeding means comprises a pressing resilient roller (7) cooperating with a first rotating shaft (11) to adhere the plastic film (4) to the traction belt (5).
