<p>A liquid clarification container comprises liquid inlets (4) led into the middle third of the clarification container, a sludge funnel (6), a separating zone (8) with diagonal separating surfaces (10), and a drain (12). The separating zone exhibits downstream-arranged subzones, which are arranged in such a way that the discharge of the liquid takes place from the opening in opposite directions. The liquid inlet is opened out via the discharge opening of the sludge funnel. The liquid inlet is led by the interior of the container through the upper into the middle third of the container.
