DENTAL CEMENT COMPOSITION

A dental cement composition which comprises: inorganic particles containing a polyvalent-metal compound; and an organic polymer. The organic polymer comprises units (A) containing a (substituted) carboxy group which are represented by the formula (I) and units (B) containing a (substituted) carbamoyl group which are represented by the formula (II). In the organic polymer, the sum of the two kinds of units accounts for at least 20 mol% of all units, and the proportion of (A)/(B) is from 0.6/1.0 to 1.0/0.6. In at least 70 mol% of the units (A) or (B) which are minor units between the two kinds of units, the (substituted)-carboxy-bonded carbon is adjacent to the (substituted)-carbamoyl-bonded carbon either directly or through a methylene or ethylene group.
