<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording medium that has two recording layers, and stably reproduces a recording layer at a farther side from an incident side of the reproducing laser light when an optical disk having a plurality of regions in which pits having a different track pitch are formed in a recording layer at a nearer side from the incident side of the reproducing laser light, and a method of reproducing the medium. <P>SOLUTION: A recording layer 4 is formed on a substrate 2; and furthermore first pits 3 are recorded at a first track pitch at either side of a substrate 2 surface or a recording layer 4 facing each other along a radial direction of the substrate 2; and a region 6 on the recording layer 4 has a first region 6A in which second pits 8 are recorded at a second track pitch, and a second region 6B in which third pits 9 are recorded at a third track pitch narrower than the second track pitch, wherein width of the second pits 8 is narrower than that of the first pit 3, and equal to that of the third pits 9, and an inclination angle of an inclination portion of the second pits 8 with respect to the substrate 2 is smaller than that of the third pits 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
