PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for separating magnetic particles from a composition. SOLUTION: This means is equipped with a lengthened protective cover (1) which contains an internal cavity (2) extending from the top toward the bottom of the cover and having a movable magnetic rod, where ratio of length to thickness for this rod is at least approx. 2:1. The means can be used for various applications, especially those fields of biotechnology, biochemistry and biomedicine. By using this means, particles may easily and quickly be collected.
