PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving operation auxiliary device for a vehicle for controlling operation reaction, while reducing uncomfortable feeling to be given to a driver when the driver recognizes an obstacle wrong. SOLUTION: A controller computes risk potential which expresses degree of approach of an associated vehicle to a front obstruct, and computes a reaction force control command value of the operating reaction force to be generated by an accelerator pedal in response to the risk potential. The controller detects sort of the obstruct detected by a laser radar, detects intention of a driver to accelerate/decelerate on the basis of accelerator pedal operating condition, and decides an operation reaction force correcting method on the basis of the sort of the obstacle and the intention of the driver to accelerate/decelerate. In the case wherein the laser radar detects a fixed obstacle, when the driver intends to accelerate, the controller corrects the operation reaction force so as to be reduced.
