PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of a surface gloss base material for a liquid container capable of being manufactured using a known machine such as a hot stamping machine, a flat press machine or a flat sheet punching method without requiring a complicated work process or the like, and the surface gloss base material for the liquid container. SOLUTION: In the processing method of the surface gloss base material for the liquid container is characterized in that a gloss part is formed on the surface of the base material for the liquid container, which is obtained by laminating a thermoplastic resin layer on the surface of a cardboard, a pattern plate, which has an upper and lower plates and has an uneven part having an approximate shape formed to its upper plate, is provided and the surface gloss part is formed by heating and pressurizing the surface of the base material for the liquid container by the up and down movable patter plate.
