PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traction stepping device of a self-propelled walk-behind working machine capable of obtaining traveling property irrespective of the road condition above the ground or snow, etc. SOLUTION: The traction stepping device 12 of the self-propelled walk-behind working machine is provided with a running device 2 comprising right and left caterpillar shoes 1, right and left handles 7 for holding an operator installed in the upper part of the running device 2, and a loader device 6 installed in the front side of the running device 2 and rotatably installed in the vertical direction. The traction stepping device is provided with a step main body 29 detachably connected to the rear sides of the running device 2 via a connection shaft 37, in which the operator enables standing-ride, right and left wheels 30 installed in the step main body 29, and a skid-like gliding tool 43 installed in the step main body 29 in which the grounding plane 44a is higher than the grounding plane of the wheel 30.
