PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit for an air conditioner capable of suppressing the occurrence of short circuit. SOLUTION: A radiation type indoor unit 2a of the air conditioner comprises a temperature regulating unit 20a and a first radiation panel 22a. The temperature regulating unit 20a has a suction port 25 into which indoor air is sucked, an indoor heat exchanger 21 regulating the temperature of the air sucked from the suction port 25, and a first side face blow-off port 31 from which the temperature regulated air is blown off. The first radiation panel 22a is horizontally juxtaposed to the temperature regulating unit 20a and arranged parallel with an indoor sidewall to form an internal space into which the air blown off from the first side face blow-off port 31 is supplied, and formed of a fibrous material having a predetermined radiation rate.
