<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-miniaturize and inexpensive reverse input cutoff clutch with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: In the reverse input cutoff clutch, an input engagement part of an input member 3 and an output engagement part of an output member 5 are mutually intricate so as to carry out engagement at a certain interval, an intermediate member 7 is provided between the output engagement part and a cylindrical inner wall surface of a housing member 11, one end of a spring member 9 is attached to the input engagement part, another end abuts on the intermediate member 7. When the input shaft part of the input member is turned, by mechanically engaging the input engagement part of the input member with the output engagement part of the output member, the output member turns together also. When torque is applied to the output member, the intermediate member cuts in between a tip of the output engagement part in the output member, and the cylindrical inner wall surface of the housing member, and by this, torque of the output member is not transmitted to the input member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
