PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for controlling the vulcanization of a green tire which can prevent the occurrence of individual differences in vulcanization quality and the lowering of productivity. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for controlling the vulcanization of the green tire 1 by a vulcanization mold 11, a mold thermocouple 20 measures a mold temperature every prescribed time, and a vulcanization time PLC 30 calculates a vulcanization temperature coefficient indicating the ratio of a vulcanization velocity at a measured temperature to a vulcanization velocity at a standard temperature based on a measured temperature and a prescribed standard temperature, multiplies the vulcanization temperature coefficient by the standard temperature, and integrates the multiplication results from the start of vulcanization to the measurement time of the temperature.
