PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin interior material reduced in thickness, substantially disabling actual machining, and capable of hindering a backing material and suppressing water leakage by merely installing on a surface to be installed. SOLUTION: This thin interior finish material 1 comprises a square thin plate-like interior material body 2 and an extension piece 3 extended from the lower edge sides of the adjacent two sides of the interior material body 2. The extension piece 3 is formed of a band-like body, a half of the band-like body along one side is adhered to the rear face of the interior material body 2, and the other half side thereof along the other side is extended from the interior material body. A clearance between the adjacent interior materials 1, 1A is closed by the extension piece 3 extended from the lower edge side of the interior material body 2. The backing material 5 is hindered and water leakage is suppressed by the extension piece 3. The extension piece 3 is separate from the interior material body 2, and the interior material body 2 must not be actually machined and is easily applicable to the interior material body 3 with very small thickness, particularly, even to the interior material body 2 formed of a soft material such as cork.
