PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray and an image forming device assuring a good performance of setting an elongate sheet and also a large degree of margin in the mechanical strength to the load of the elongate sheet. SOLUTION: The tray 70 to be installed in the body 1 of the image forming device 1 is equipped with a first retention part 71 to retain the front part LPa of the elongate sheet LP and lead the elongate sheet LP to the device body 1 of the image forming device and a second retention part 76 arranged separately from the first 71 for retaining the rear part LPc of the sheet LP.
