<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fuel tank from being damaged by a flange part of a frame abutting on the fuel tank. <P>SOLUTION: This lower car body structure is provided with the fuel tank disposed under a floor panel of a vehicle, and the frame passing near the fuel tank to be jointed with a lower surface of the floor panel of the vehicle. The frame comprises the flange part of which end part is projected toward the fuel tank as the frame is applied to the lower surface of the floor panel to be jointed with the lower surface of the floor panel. The fuel tank has an expanded part expanded upward over the end part of the flange part.
