PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain an output signal with a sufficient amplitude even if an input current is attenuated in order to deal with an input current of a wide dynamic range in an optical reception circuit. SOLUTION: A gain switching determining circuit 250 reduces the gains of first and second transimpedance core circuits 210, 220. After that, when a comparing input voltage Vc is reduced to a predetermined reset voltage Vr, a reset determining circuit 260 outputs a reset signal RESET for resetting a gain switching operation of the determining circuit 250 to initialize the gain.
