<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colliding object protection device capable of certainly stabilizing each of pillar parts at a specified position by preventing tramping of each of the pillar parts of a roughly glass shape air bag. <P>SOLUTION: This colliding object protection device 1 is furnished with the air bag 20 to expand and develop on a surface of a vehicle 2 in detecting or predicting collision of a colliding object and the vehicle 2. This air bag 20 has a main body part 21 to expand and develop along a lower part of a front window glass 2a of the vehicle 2 and a pair of the pillar parts 22 to expand and develop along a front pillar 2b of the vehicle 2 from both end parts 21a of the main body part 21, and a sewn part 23 to regulate movement of gas to the pillar parts 22 from the main body 21 until expansion and development of the main body part 21 is finished is provided on a boundary of the main body part 21 and the pillar parts 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
