PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive operational input device having superior operability and permitting rotation position and inclination operation of a dial member with simple constitution. SOLUTION: The operational input device includes the dial member 6 capable of performing the rotation operation, a signal output device 11 outputting a signal according to the rotation of the dial member, and switches 13 provided at a plurality of parts in the rotational direction of the dial member. The dial member is rotated around a shaft member 6 as the center at least a part of which has elasticity, and is capable of performing inclination operation by elastically deforming the shaft member.
