<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management system, a system management device and a system management method, excellent in maintainability, allowing authentication of a user even when a server is down or when a failure occurs in a network. <P>SOLUTION: This information management system is provided with the system management device managing update of user information in a user information management device. In the information management system, when the system management device confirms the update of the user information necessary for the user authentication, the system management device transmits the updated user information to a device to update the user information.
