PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing apparatus which is superior in expandability of reproduction of an information storage medium, and is capable of appropriately displaying contents in response to various types of monitors. SOLUTION: An information reproducing apparatus has image processing units (2081a, 2081b, ..., 203a, 203b, ...) configured to process contents and image data contained in expansion information, as needed, on the basis of actual monitor information indicating the output destination of the contents and the expansion information, and a reproducing unit (203) configured to reproduce the content, and to reproduce image data, which are contained in the expansion information and have undergone image processings, as needed, in synchronism with the reproduction of the contents.
