PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist cutting and grinding fluid composition having excellent working performances for iron metal, non-iron metal, etc., and to provide a method for cutting and grinding working using the composition. SOLUTION: The mist cutting and grinding fluid composition is characterized as comprising≥20 mass% of an alcohol (a 3-50C monohydric alcohol, etc.).
