PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk housing type disk drive in which a disk regulation mechanism for regulating a disk supported by a support that moves when selected can be configured to be thin. SOLUTION: A base body 101 is provided on the bottom face 6 of a lower housing 3, a rotation driving member 102 and an advancing/retreating member 103 are incorporated inside the base body 101, and a link arm 104 and a regulation body 105 are supported turnably by the base body 101. The distance from a turn supporting shaft 107B of the link arm 104 to an operation shaft 103b connecting the advancing/retreating member 103 and the link arm 104 is shorter than the distance from the turn supporting shaft 107B to a connection supporting shaft 107A connecting the link arm 104 and the regulation body 105. Consequently, an advancing/retreating operation of the advancing/retreating member 103 is amplified to act as a turning force of the regulation body 105. Therefore, it is possible to shorten the moving distance of the advancing/retreating member 103 and make the disk regulation mechanism 100 thin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
