PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of controlling contrast of a privacy filter. SOLUTION: The information processor is equipped with: an LCD 16; the privacy filter 17 arranged opposite to one surface of the LCD 16 and driven by a driving signal; a privacy filter driving circuit 140 capable of supplying the driving signal to the privacy filter 17; an operating system 170 which displays an authentication screen for authenticating a user on the LCD 16; a privacy filter control package 180 which detects that the authentication screen is displayed on the LCD 16 and an embedded controller/keyboard controller IC 124 which supplies a PWM signal to the privacy filter driving circuit 140 in order to drive the privacy filter 17 when a detection part detects display of the authentication screen.
