PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which lowering of display density due to temperature variation is suppressed. SOLUTION: Temperature of an image display medium 12 is measured. Corresponding to the measured temperature of the image display medium 12, one or more out of a value of an initialization driving voltage, application time thereof, a value of a display driving voltage, application time thereof, and the number of the voltage applications repeated is or are selectively changed in order to obtain a prescribed display density.
