<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the functional inhibition of an internal combustion engine start torque transmission mechanism by inclination of a rotary shaft of a ring gear. <P>SOLUTION: A configuration width area Aowc of a one-way clutch 14 overlaps a meshing width area where torque is transmitted from a pinion gear 20 to a ring gear 12 at the time of start to confirm center positions in a rotation shaft direction. Reaction force generated in the one-way clutch 14 together with torque is sufficiently inhibited from being converted to force inclining the rotary shaft of the ring gear 12 when torque is transmitted from the pinion gear 20 to the ring gear 12 by the overlap. Consequently, inclination of an engagement force direction from a regular position can be inhibited and poor engagement can be sufficiently prevented in a sprag or the like of the one-way clutch 14.
