PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily recognize a COM port to be allocated to the USB port of a personal computer to which a communication converter is connected. SOLUTION: In communication setting, a COM port number to which equipment is connected and the corresponding name of the COM port are read from a registry and displayed.
