PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device calculating a distance between a paper terminal end detection sensor and a printing mechanism part in a dot unit, capable of automatically performing that the distance is memorized in a non-volatile memory element and simplifying a series of operation until the distance calculated from adjustment of a paper terminal end detection sensor position is reflected to a printable paper residual amount calculation means. SOLUTION: A means for calculating a distance between the paper terminal end detection sensor and a paper feeding hole detection sensor; a means for calculating a distance between the printing mechanism part and the paper terminal end detection sensor; and a means for memorizing the distance in the non-volatile memory element are added.
