<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intelligent sheet metal bending system having a preparing system of a common generation plan. <P>SOLUTION: A plan preparing module interacts with several kinds of expert modules to prepare a bending plan. The plan preparing module utilizes a state-space search algorithm. A computerized method is provided in order to select a gripper and a repo gripper and determine the optimal placement of them. Tooling used for a bending apparatus is selected and a tooling stage layout is determined. A method for eliminating the need for control operation of excessive sensor base by learning a motion control offset value is provided. The plan preparing system is utilized to facilitate functions such as design, cost calculation, schedule preparation and/or manufacture, design for performing assembly, assembly system, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
