PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bonding material which does not deteriorate the pollution-preventing or reducing function of a photocatalyst layer or photooxidation layer without applying a special coating to the surface of the bonding material, when substrates, such as building materials, having the photocatalyst layers or photooxidation layers on their surfaces are bonded. SOLUTION: The bonding material for substrates having photocatalyst layers or photooxidation layers on their surfaces is characterized by substantially not containing volatile silicone oligomers.
