RECORDING CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN MOVING PICTURE AND STILL PICTURE REPRODUCING APPARATUS AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record the number of people in an image configuring a moving picture to a recording medium together with data for expressing the moving picture.

SOLUTION: A recording control method disclosed herein includes: a step 41 of reading moving picture data from the recording medium; a step 43 of detecting an image of people included in images at an interval of three frames among images configuring the moving picture; a step 44 of calculating the number of people of the detected image of the people; a step 45 of storing the calculated number of people to a number of people table; and a step 46 of recording the stored number of people table to the recording medium. The number of people table is applicable for program searching of moving pictures or like.
