<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate making method in which a lithographic printing original plate having high sensitivity and excellent suitability to safelight is developed with an aqueous developer of pH 2.0-10.0, and a lithographic printing original plate. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing original plate having a photosensitive layer containing (A) a sensitizing dye having maximum absorption in a wavelength range of 350-450 nm, (B) a titanocene compound of a specific structure, (C) a polymerizable compound and (D) a hydrophobic binder polymer and a protective layer in this order on a hydrophilic support is exposed with laser light having a wavelength of 350-450 nm, and the protective layer and the photosensitive layer in its unexposed portion are removed with an automatic processing machine equipped with a rubbing member by rubbing the plate surface with the rubbing member in the presence of a developer of pH 2-10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
