PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an adhesive strength in a region in which a sleeve and a base are fastened in a spindle motor. SOLUTION: The spindle motor is provided with a stationary member 2, a rotating member 3, and a dynamically pressed bearing 4. The stationary member 2 has the plate base 10, and the cylindrical sleeve 11 fixed to an inner circumference 10b of a hole 10 in the base 10 by an adhesive. The rotating member 3 has a minute gap for holding a lubricant fluid between the sleeve 11, and a shaft 21 rotated relative to the stationary member 2. An arithmetic average roughness Ra on an adhesive face between the base 10 and the sleeve 11 is 0.1-1.0μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
