The invention relates to an aircraft safety seat ( 1 ) comprising a supporting structure ( 5 ) and a bucket seat ( 2 ) supported by said structure, said bucket seat ( 2 ) comprising a seat ( 3 ) and a back ( 4 ) which are linked together, said back being installed on said structure so as to slide generally downwards, characterised in that it comprises at least one connecting rod ( 6 ) connected by its first end ( 6 a) to said support and by its other end ( 6 b) to said seat, said connecting rod ( 6 ) being generally horizontal when in normal use, and being suited for pivoting downwards by its first end under the effect of a force exerted downwards on said seat, against the action of a shock absorber ( 7 ).
