<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device for a vehicle wherein: a rotor to which an operation knob free to manually operate is relatively rotatably inserted into a cylinder body rotatably supported in a fixed housing; a key hole into which a mechanical key is freely inserted is provided on the rotor; a plurality of tumblers to release engagement with a cylinder body in accordance with insertion of the regular mechanical key to the key hole are built in; and the mechanical key cannot be inserted into the key hole while rotating the rotor from a locking position by using the operation knob. <P>SOLUTION: A key insertion regulating means 56 to prevent insertion of the mechanical key into the key hole 31 at the time of rotating the rotor 17 from the locking position by using the operation knob while the mechanical key 32 can be inserted into the key hole 31 in the state where the rotor 17 is at the locking position, is provided on the rotor 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
