PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera with thumbnail image generating function capable of efficiently recording images of multiple sizes in a single photo shoot. SOLUTION: The digital camera 1 is provided with an image pick up means 2 comprising an image input unit 20, a memory 32 and a recording medium 35, for storing one image supplied by a single image input operation in the memory 32, producing processed images of multiple sizes from the input image, executing data processing, and storing the processed images in the recording medium 35. The digital camera 1 is also provided with a control means 4 for controlling the image pick up means 2.
