摘要 An electro-hydraulic brake(EHB) system is provided to put a master cylinder to practical use by forming a hydraulic control unit in the form of a single block without equipping a master cylinder additionally, to improve reliability and to prevent lowering of durability caused by abrasion and to reduce space arrangement of a master cylinder by having a simulator built-in a hydraulic control unit. The electro-hydraulic brake system contains: a brake pedal(20) operated by a driver when braking and provided with a pedal displacement sensor(20a) to sense if a driver applies the brake and a BLS(Brake Light Switch;20b) to sense if a brake pedal operates; a master cylinder(22) receiving power from the brake pedal; a reservoir(23) installed on the upper part of the master cylinder to store up oil; a wheel cylinder(24) receiving oil of the reservoir and braking each wheel(27,28); and an HCU(Hydraulic Control Unit;25) placed between the master cylinder and the wheel cylinder to have various flow passages(26,36,38,39,42) inward and composed of many solenoid valves(34,35,37,40,43) and an accumulator(32) to control brake hydraulic pressure transferred to the wheel cylinder, an accumulator pressure sensor(33) installed on the outlet side of the accumulator to measure oil pressure of the accumulator, a pump(30) and a motor(31) to pump up oil with high pressure and to occur braking pressure, a master cylinder pressure sensor(41) installed between a cutoff valve and an outlet(22a) of the master cylinder to measure oil pressure of the master cylinder, and a simulator(50) installed between the pressure sensor and the master cylinder and provided with a simulation chamber(51) and a simulation valve(52) to form stepping force of the brake pedal.
