A portable terminal for measuring momentum is provided to comprise functions such as a GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver, a gyro sensor, a TTS(Text-To-Speech), an MP3(Moving Picture Experts Group layer3) player in the portable terminal so that users in the other area can check momentum measurement information by using the message transmission, emergency call, data communication functions of the portable terminal. A portable terminal for measuring momentum(100) comprises the followings: a measuring unit(10) which measures a distance, time, speed, and the number of steps which a user runs; a data storage unit(30); a control unit(20) which calculates a current pace distance and step speed through the distance, time, speed, and the number of steps measured through the measuring unit(10) to calculate a difference value with a specific value stored in the data storage unit(30); and a user interface unit(40).
