A slide/hinge apparatus for a portable terminal is provided to make it easy to slide a cover for a body and tilt the cover at a predetermined angle when the sliding of the cover is completed, thereby improving transmit/receive sensitivity by positioning the transmitting part and receiving part of the portable terminal near the mouth and ear of a user to the maximum. A slide/hinge apparatus for a portable terminal comprises the followings: a fixed plate(100) which is fixed on a body; a moving plate(200) which is fixed on a cover and in which slide rails(210) are formed in a length direction in both sides; a tilt plate(300) which is interposed between the fixed plate(100) and the moving plate(200), and in which slide grooves(310) are formed in the length direction so as to corresponds to the slide rail(210) in both sides, and of which the end part is combined with the fixed plate(100) by hinge pins(120); and a tilting unit(400) which inclines the tilt plate(300) for the fixed plate(100) when the sliding of the moving plate(200) is completed.
