A polarization compensating film, a display panel assembly having the same, and a display device are provided to improve the light utilizing efficiency, by changing an undesired polarized light into a desired polarized light and then transmitting the changed polarized light. A polarization compensating film(100) comprises a polarization prism film(200) and a phase difference film(300). The polarization prism divides an incident natural light into an ordinary light with a first polarization state and an extraordinary light with a second polarization state. The extraordinary light advances in a predetermined direction with respect to the ordinary light. The phase difference film changes the second polarization state of the extraordinary light from the polarization prism film into the first polarization state.
