A method for setting a tiptronic mode pattern of automatic transmission is provided to improve stability and reliability of a running vehicle by using a throttle open degree. A throttle open degree of a red zone upon being accelerated is measured and a speed corresponding to the measured throttle open degree is set to a reference speed(V_UH) of a forced up shift line. The measured throttle open degree is set to a reference throttle degree(TH_U) of the forced up shift line. Under an idle condition, a reference speed(V_UL) with respect to an up shift is determined. A manual shift down limit in harmony with an engine brake function is set with respect to a region below the throttle open degree.
