PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device that can display a high-quality large image having less brightness uneveness by using light beams. SOLUTION: The image display device 100, displaying an image in a display region by light beams according to image signals, includes a plurality of light-scanning units 101, 102, 103 which can scan a scanning region with light beams from light source units in a first direction, and a second direction substantially orthogonal to the first direction. The plurality of light scanning units 101, 102, 103 are arranged so that the respective scanning regions is made parallel to the first direction, and the display region is formed by combining scanning center regions located at substantially the center portions in the first direction of the respective scanning regions.
