PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning power reel which is made by improving a spinning power reel equipped with an electric transmission and a mechanical transmission, and facilitates the alternate employments of these transmissions to enable quick responses to changes in the conditions of a spinning spot. SOLUTION: This spinning power reel having a spool-driving motor for wind-driving a spool rotatably supported on the main body of the reel, a mechanical transmission mounted on a spool-driving system and used for switching the power-transmitting state of the spool-driving motor into a high speed power-transmitting state or a low speed power-transmitting state by the operation of a transmission mode-switching member, an electric transmission for controlling the spool-driving motor to change a line-winding speed by the operation of a transmission member is characterized by disposing the transmission mode-switching member in the transmission member or the reel main body near to the transmission member.
